Well last year I played Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue in the concerto competition. The winner was a trombone player (?!) and I was one of the two runners up. Now this year I played Rachmaninoff's Concerto #2. And again I was a runner up. But this time they picked
three winners. What the fuck? Why couldn't they do that last year...! At least I wouldn't have been too disappointed if there had been
one winner and I were a runner up, but really, three people were better than me?? I'm sorry if this sounds arrogant but I find that very hard to believe, especially looking at what they played. Maybe I should've picked something I could play in the 8th grade too, and I would've won that way.

So apparently I fail at music. I guess it's a good thing I'm not allowed to be a music major any more. The winner plays in the spring orchestra concert so on the bright side I can now play for the musical again, since the musical and concert are on the same day. But that'll be backstage and they'll probably credit me as "violin" again. I wanted to be on stage

Oh well, add that to my list of failures: school, girls, and now music too, which for me you might as well say I fail at life.
